Abstract
The essay proposes an analysis of manuscript CF 2 6 from the Biblioteca Oratoriana dei Girolamini in Naples, aiming to attribute the authorship of the work it transmits, De homine, to its rightful author, Bornio da Sala. Despite the manuscript having undergone a process of corruption, which systematically erased the author’s name and substituted it with Eugenius, philological-stylistic analysis and material investigation have revealed unequivocal evidence attributing the work to the Bolognese author Bornio da Sala, including the presence of his handwriting in the filipino manuscript.
