Abstract
The article announces the discovery of an unknown fourteenth-century witness of the epistle sent by Dante to the emperor Arrigo VII (‘Ep.’, vii) and provides the description of Alghero, Biblioteca Comunale “Rafael Sariµ, MS. 58, which, in addition to the Dante’s letter, is the witness of an anthology of Virgilian argument and of a metrical epistle of Petrarch (ii 5).
