Abstract

The contribution aims at analyzing the selection of Dante’s rhymes related by the ms. Florence, Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale, Banco Rari 69 (ex Palatino 180), investigated so far with the purpose of assessing whether or not the series of fifteen songs can be attributed to the will of its author. The aim of these pages is rather to enhance the anthological selection as a whole, emphasizing its breadth and its absolute relevance within the confines of the fourteenth-century manuscript tradition
