Abstract
The Greek text of Sir 27,4–28,26 could be divided in four series of reflections: the challenge of speaking (27,4-15), the boomerang against guilty (27,16-29), a call to avoid resentment and anger (27,30–28,12), and the risk of calumny diffused by external person (28,13-26). The analysis of this Part I is dedicated to the two first sub-series, whereas Part II will analyze the two others. A synthesis will conclude these reflections on speaking in its negative aspects.
