Abstract
The topic of job Insecurity is becoming more and more important because of the growing flexibilization of the job market. Empirical studies show how job insecurity is related to worse physical and mental health, and to negative organizational attitudes. In this paper, a cross-cultural validation of a short job insecurity measure is presented. Data were collected in four European countries: Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden. Results pointed out that, in all four different samples, the scale is reliable, uni-dimensional and valid with respect of an external criterion such as job satisfaction.
