Abstract

This paper seeks to highlight the main arguments of the bills of law presented to the Chamber of Deputies in Brazil between the years 2019 and 2020, whose proposal has been contrary or restrictive to abortion and policies of access to voluntary termination of pregnancy. The research included a survey of all the bills of law in which the keyword “abortionµ was used. However, the analysis in the present study was restricted to opposing bills, since the objective is to demonstrate how the discursive circuit in the Federal Congress is allied to the global neoconservative antigender project. Therefore, we aimed at verifying how the effects of the restorative familist project in the legislative field, as an expression of the Brazilian anti-gender politics, are translated into the legislative discourses that give the conditions of possibility for its prohibition

Keywords
