Abstract
On July 10th, 1976, in Seveso happened a huge enviromental and human accident, that hit institutions hard in a delicate moment of Italian history. Some issues - as miscarriage and reclamation of the damaged area - threatened the thin politic balance, based on an agreement of "national solidarity" between DC and PCI. Seveso's accident has been both a first step in building a green conscoiusness in Italy and a sign of the political dynamics of that period.
