Abstract
In this interview with Tony Platt, former Black Panther activist Ericka Huggins reflects on the raise and fall of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. In particular, Huggins analyzes the role of the FBI's covert operations and of other COINTELPRO strategies in the repression of the black liberation movement in the United States. The interview was conducted by Tony Platt on the UC Berkeley campus, as part of a joint seminar cosponsored in Fall 2012 by the Department of Justice Studies at San José State University and the UC Berkeley Law School.
