Abstract
What does “victimµ mean? An attempt at a definition of victim is here proposed, starting from four archetypal victim models: the sacrificial victim, the atoning victim, the winning victim, the defeated victim. As the status of victim appears to be inextricably linked to the notion of violence, this article tries to investigate two possible ways to escape from the inevitability of the victim’s condition in the context of minimal criminal law and materialistic feminism
