Abstract
Teenagers deserve to be acquainted with the historical formation of the globalized world blocked by the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on direct experience in the design of teachers’ courses, the paper invites Italian historians to engage, familiarizing teachers with global history and the category of Anthropocene. Through an exemplary case study, the text also invites Italian historians to offer teachers critical tools to deconstruct the competing narratives circulating on the web and deal with the so-called «cancel culture». The involvement of historians is crucial as teachers are currently training the generations on which the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic will impact most directly in future decades.
