Abstract
The essay examines the health conditions of migrants who left the territory of Trentino for various destinations. The health of the departing population is analyzed both at the time of departure and during the journey, when the difficult living conditions on board ships considerably affected the well-being of the travelers. The time of disembarkation and the first months in the countries of destination are also considered, thus reconstructing the health of migrants before, during and after the migratory journey. In order to effectively contextualize the health issues raised by migration, various sources of medical literature are used, which also allow the medical point of view to be highlighted.
