Abstract

Posadas has been the inaugural chair of the IPA Sex and Gender Diversities Studies committee, which, starting in 2017, worked to create spaces where psychoanalysts could debate these issues. The author illustrates the occurring of these discussions and observes the emergence of some recurring phenomena of resistance. All in all, Posadas uses the myth of Tiresias to highlight a particular form of anguish, and the resulting actings out, that gets revealed throughout discussing gender issues
