Abstract
The author, starting from his experience of psychological relief to the victims of the Coronavirus emergency, proposes a reflection on symptomatic psychological reactions and on connected unconscious experiences and the civil cohabitation system. Freud’s words concerning the relationship between the acknowledgment of death and civil life suggest that Coronavirus, by making each of us a potential hector, mobilized paranoid anxieties, contrasted by the functions of guarantor performed by institutions, volunteers and professionals. These subjects represent guarantors of civil coexistence: an important factor of civil resilience.
