Abstract

The aim of this paper is to focus on some of the crucial processes of change in present societies, referring to analyses and proposals which - in the eighties and nineties of past century - were at the center of the agenda. Many important contributions - looking particularly to studies in France and Sweden - analyzed the complexity of ongoing changes and put forward a variety of forms of social and political action. Attention was given to areas related to everyday life, and innovative proposals were suggested, concerning "work", "time", and "care".
