Abstract
After more than three decades of dominance, neoliberal policies seem to have come to an end even in healthcare. International organizations and the two main superpowers - the US and China - are either adopting or returning to some form of universalism and general health coverage. The article explores this new trend and sheds light on the contradictions and paradoxes that characterize emerging strategies.
