Abstract
The health emergency for COVID-19 has had economic and social effects worldwide. States responded with ad hoc interventions and this had serious effects on the life and job of citizens. The article analyzes the consequences of DPCM (decrees of the President of the Council of Ministers) for the female gender. As will be seen, the pandemic was not neutral and government interventions worsened the pre-COVID-19 gender gap. With the restart, radical projects and interventions are therefore necessary.
