'Pubblico dominio' and 'Dominio pubblico' with regard to the immage of cultural heritage: notes on the implementation of Directives (EU) 2019/790 and 2019/1024
Abstract
The article discusses the Directive (EU) 2019/790 (on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market) and the Directive (EU) 2019/1024 (on open data and the re-use of public sector information) with reference to the reproduction of cultural heritage held by public cultural establishments (libraries, museums and archives) and to the circulation of resulting material on the web. The implementation in Italy of the two directives with regard to the provisions of the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape is also considered.
