Abstract

The essay aims at analyzing the issue of the cultural valorization of historical villages from the perspective of their recovery and socio-economic revitalization. The impression is that this is possible, but neither the instrument nor the objective should be absolutized: the valorization of historical villages can (or as is often the case, above all) be used as a strategy to generate more tourism and more gross domestic product at the national level. Therefore: the recovery and resilience of the State also pass through the streets of historic villages.
