Abstract

The article analyzes the issue of maritime spatial planning, through the reference of the European (dir. 2014/89) and national law (decree n. 201/2016 and related guidelines) and an example of management plan (for the Adriatic area). The objective is to verify the relationship between the different planning tools (maritime space management plans and landscape plans in particular) and more generally what consideration landscape and cultural heritage take on in planning the sea. In conclusion, are indicated open questions and future perspectives.
