Abstract

The aim of this essay, after having seen the fundamental steps of the origin of this different museum form and after having identified the relative legislation, is to examine the ecomuseums in the perspective of the enhancement of cultural heritage. In particular, the analysis focuses on the interpretation of Lazio regional law which, even though belated in respect of other regional laws, places the ecomuseums in the field of cultural services; the main objective is to demonstrate that these museum forms represent instruments that enhance (and then emancipate) the "minor" cultures.
