Intangible cultural heritage and administrative functions
Abstract
The administrative functions of intangible cultural heritage are exercised at several levels. Besides the regulations of the code, which focus on cultural heritage in its tangibility, there are 'extra-code' instruments deriving from international regulations. This approach, also caused by the difficulty of legal framing of the notion of intangible cultural heritage, has for a long time encouraged greater attention to tangible cultural assets. In recent times, however, also as a consequence of emergency events, the intangible perspective takes on an more relevant role and leads to reflection on the potential of the instruments available.
