Remarks about the "New" Diffusion and Fruition Forms of Cultural Content
Abstract
The article suggests a model to valorize and make accessible, usable and exploitable the Italian cultural heritage, taking advantages and opportunities offered by technology. After positioning the subject in the Constitutional context - also reproduced at ordinary legislation level - is presented an overview of the numerous internet sites and European projects, that, especially since the new Millennium, were developed by the "Cultural World". However, the excessive proliferation of sites and cultural links lead to a fragmentation and dispersion of cultural content. It becomes necessary, therefore, facilitate exploitation of cultural digital resources, providing clear rules for their use and re-use, respecting and protecting the creators' rights. Related to this objective it should also improve accessibility to and visibility of Italian digital cultural resources; support the development of the Italian digital library for accessing cultural resources and contribute to increasing interoperability between existing networks and promote the use of digital cultural resources by business and citizens.
