Abstract
The Paper discusses the evolution of cultural heritage system underscoring the reasons of its specialty and analyzing the impact of some elements of the social-economic context and principal legislative and institutional reforms on the cultural heritage governance (firstly the adoption of the Constitutional Chart, but also the successive constitutional reforms, the institution of a specific Ministry, the adoption of the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape) and the contribution of the last period of reforms (the Reform of Mibact, the reform of Public Procurement and the recent reform of co-called "Third Sector"). In the background its remain issues and problems with which the system has to make the accounts: the public-private relationships, the interinstitutional cooperation and the expansion of the concept of cultural heritage.
