Reproducing cultural heritage? Regulatory "solids" and regulatory "voids"
Abstract
The article deals with the issues related to the digitization and reproduction of cultural property. It examines the historical regulatory premises of this topic, the rules established by the Italian and European regulations, and the problems still open. The article illustrates the main dilemmas which mark the relationships between new technologies, copyright and protection of cultural property, such as the distinction between commercial and non commercial purposes or the so called "freedom of panorama".
