Abstract

"Una teoria dell'identità mente-oggetto" by Riccardo Manzotti, an imaginative, bold and ambitious article, presents a new physicalist theory of consciousness interwoven with an original metaphysical framework which is supported by interesting empirical data. As with all the ambitious philosophical theories, however, the critical points are not lacking. Here we analyse those aspects of the theory that strike us as the most problematic.
