Abstract

Spinoza’s ontological system both agrees and disagrees with some fundamental aspects of Aristotle’s ontology. This paper tries to investigate this point, highlighting how Spinoza’s distancing from Aristotle’s ontology involves his embracing some aspects of Parmenides’ philosophy, which were rejected by Aristotle during the elaboration of his own ontology
