Abstract
The great medievalist Girolamo Arnaldi gave very important contributions to the studies on Dante; in a number of magazine articles, encyclopaedia entries and other essays, between 1970 and 2003, he broached with particular interest and effectiveness the following topics: Cangrande Della Scala and Verona; the idea of nobility; the royal house of France; emperor Justinian; Romagna.
