Abstract

The recently published Ritorno all’essere. Addio alla metafisica moderna, written by Vittorio Possenti, contains several strong theoretical theses, related with an overall reading of the history of the modern philosophy. The aim of this article is to provide a critical exam of the main theoretical statements, mainly with regard to the concept of being and that of truth. In addition, this paper highlights, as far as possible in few pages, that the Possenti’s interpretation of history of modern philosophy has some weak points.
