Abstract
The latest IPCC report calls upon all governments around the world to face their responsibilities regarding climate change and its effects. It is time to take meaningful action to deal with it. Adaptation policies must be at the center of the political agenda. The G20 climate summit was very disappointing, despite the unanimous final declaration. High hopes are now pinned on the COP26 in Glasgow where key issues such as climate change adaptation policies will be addressed, given the limits of mitigation. The number of countries and public and private entities that have made commitments towards climate or carbon neutrality has grown. It is now a matter of moving from declarations to actions. Results are needed.
