Abstract
Ten years ago we viewed our bodies from an exclusively biological and genetic perspective. In our day and age electronics, nanoelectronics and mechanical bioengineering have made so much progress that harbouring doubt on this limited perspective is justified. In the bioengineering field, technical progress has advanced even more rapidly. A new frontier of research was crossed ten years ago: staminal and clonated cells. What will they allow us to synthesise over the next 10-15 years? This remains to be seen.
