Abstract

A research carried out by FEEM with the support of Enti Parco dello Stelvio and Lombardia has focused on the relationship between eco-tourism and protected areas in two parks and in an area that is becoming a park, the Venice Lagoon. The goal was finding the equilibrium that guarantees sustainability between the need to protect the naturalistic "value" of the park and the benefits of ecotourism, considering that the latter must be "regulated" in order not to damage the "good" (its uniqueness and naturalistic characteristics) in the absence of which there would be no tourism.
