Abstract
Alongside the stimulating aspects that daily emerge in the Information and Communication Technologies field, the author observes the persistence of alarming phenomena, especially those related to the protection of consumers and their essential rights. When dealing with technical and ethical problems one cannot ignore issues such as the right to access past and present culture and, in general, the freedom of culture and software circulation that should be guaranteed in the IT world.
