Abstract
The author, scholar of biblical hermeneutics and Jewish culture, pupil of philosopher Emmanuel Lévinas, proposes a personal definition of the word-concept «trust». Drawing from Jewish tradition, he ponders the implications of the ethics of responsibility, authenticity, shame as a value, and the difference between confidence and certainty.
