Abstract
Suicide is a topic that Chinese researchers have not fully explored. The originality of Wu Fei's research lies in the interdisciplinary approach that combines field investigation and sociological methods with philosophical reflection. Interdisciplinarity and methodological versatility are required to analyze a phenomenon that institutional knowledge and regimes (public security, health authorities) are unable to grasp. Starting from a theoretical redefinition of the issue, the article provides an enlightening insight into modern Chinese society.
