Abstract
The direct and indirect effects of climate change on health are more and more obvious. Disorders associated with the quality of the environment, such as allergies, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, are increasing. There is a high mortality rate in the elderly population due to extreme heat and cold events. Threats to human health and welfare will increase unless effective mitigation and adaptation measures are taken.
