Abstract
For years, cities have been adapting their growth and development models to climate change, but often they did it in absence of a global vision. For realizing climate proof cities the challenges for the governants include, among others, the involvement of all sectors of public administration and the partecipation of non-state actors. The case of Rotterdam represents a model for its experience in managing the consequences of climate change and in increasing the resilience of the city
