Abstract

The growth of the cities makes necessary to rethink models of production and consumption of the resources. Circular economy and urban metabolism represent two reference paradigms for creating cities able to maximize matter and energy flows that cross them. It is crucial for these two approaches to effectively mix in order to overcome their respective limitations and to build an holistic vision of the city.
