Abstract

A rapid growth of the urban population in the developing countries is determining the raise of the need for access to goods and services and a strong demand for mobility to satisfy this need. This article aims at investigating the present and the future of urban mobility in the cities of the «south of the world» by focusing on a crucial combination: informality and digitalization. In the authors’ opinion, this is a key aspect for dealing with the challenges of urban mobility in the developing countries.
