Abstract
The essay investigates the cultural consumption of the Genoese aristocracy in the XVIII century, from the 1730s to the financial crisis of the 1790s. Starting from a rich selection of archive materials, the author reconstructs the modifications of taste and of the cultural practices throughout generations and individual paths, both masculine and feminine. The work tries to demonstrate that objects must be considered for their configurations, that cultural consumption is individual and that objects are social links.
