Abstract

Peronism needs to be framed historically and especially in terms of its relation to fascism after 1945. Thus, beyond current attempts by politicians and academics alike to provide closure with respect to its origins and attributed uniqueness, the question remains as to what kind of phenomena Peronism actually represents. Its original, genealogical and ultimately sui generis reformulations of fascism remains a significant part of the historiographical answers to this interrogation. This article analyzes this question.
