Abstract
The archival researches into the records of Pius XII’s pontificate at Vatican Archives now allow us to identify the multiple profiles of the Holy See’s commitment to help the victims of the Nazi-Fascist repression in Rome between autumn 1943 and spring 1944. A first itinerary in the documentation available, opening wide interpretative problems, starts from the Vatican initiatives of the Commissione Soccorsi, such as those in favour of the socialist trade union leader Bruno Buozzi and the circles close to him.
