Abstract

By decision of the family, since February 6, 2024, the Historical Archive of the Presidency of the Republic has been holding the Personal Archive of President Emeritus Giorgio Napolitano, which is added to the institutional papers useful for documenting the constitutional functions exercised by the Presidents of the Republic in the history of the Republic. The papers of Giorgio Napolitano, a relevant statesman, protagonist of the history of contemporary Italy, will be the subject of a careful treatment and analytical description, useful to allow their digitization, their publication on the Historical Portal of the Presidency of the Republic, and their accessibility to researchers and citizens
