Abstract

The article addresses the issue of participation starting from three major processes that have profoundly changed the experience of social life: the full advent of a generalized mobilization society; the expansion of a highly personalized relationship with a variety of social issues; the development of different attitudes of defective participation. The articulated consideration of these three phenomena calls for a renewal of the usual participation analysis frameworks.
