Abstract
The "Diaries" of Bruno Trentin constitute an important document for the knowledge of the author and the political events that have directly involved him in the years of the published notebooks (1988-1994). The author focuses mainly on the value of a series of notes and theoretical considerations and on the significance of the activities that Trentin, a work's theorist, does in his free time. Theoretically, the "Diaries" offer a series of reflections, not present in other works, which, starting from the French Revolution, reflect, in an original way, on the «irreducible but fruitful» contradiction between freedom and equality that opens to the idea of a «solidarity of diversity».
