Crossing the field with slow and creative research: Reflections from the «Sensing for Justice» project
Abstract
How can art become a research method and practice? What are the implications of a participatory approach to research? The «Sensing for Justice» project has confronted me with these questions and offered some answers. The article discusses the theoretical and ethical foundations of a creative approach to research, describes the methodological framework adopted and the experience of a slow ethnography based on artistic research methods. Finally, it illustrates strategies for communicating results. In conclusion, the article expands on reflections for other researchers who decide to take this path.
