Abstract

The conclusive remarks are not only the opportunity of a warm thanksgiving to all those who have taken part in the debate, but also an attempt to indicate some cru¬cial problems for the research in legal philosophy in the future: 1) legal interpretation and practical reasoning, 2) human rights and moral cognitivism, 3) the evolution of the political community and the idea of a fair social cooperation. These topics - on which the discussion is open - are not separate, but they take form in a common framework characterized from the political point of view by pluralism, multiculturalism and glo¬balization, and from the legal point of view by the erosion of national sovereignty, the evolution of international law and the centrality of adjudication.
