Abstract
While the most of the 20th century was characterized by the «deconstruction» of the subject, in recent years the modern notion of «agent subject» is restated, even though often reconceptualized. Through a genealogical inquiry which take into account the logical-semantic transits (from Scholastic to Locke) whence the category of «responsible agent subject» originated, the essay underlines its constitutive antinomic structure, depending upon its logical interlacement with the «dispositive of the person». Against the effects of exclusion deriving from that interlacement, a new philosophical and political figure is proposed, that is the «impersonal subject».
