Abstract
In the last decades the relationship between economics and politics moved towards a "governance without government". Thus economic dynamics assumed the fundamental anthropological task that in past times was performed by ritual practices: that of building and establishing a "normality", i.e. a path of shared expectation which is the base for habits and norms of everyday life. The essay analyses the similarity between the ritual and the market economy pointing out both its meaning and its hidden risks.
