Abstract

The first part of this essay deals with the utilitazion of the word «populism» in Gramsci’s production, that contributes to distinguish a «popular» politics from a populistic one; the second part deals with his vision of leadership: a popular leader is characterized by a strong connection with his social class. His power is shared with other leaders and may became collective: the «moderno principe».
