Abstract
The aim of the paper is to explore the syntactic connections in Bartoli's «Ricreazione del Savio» and to establish what effect they have on the organization of the text. Connections are described in terms of their linguistic function, which allows us to notice a peculiar way of handling information. Links between whole sentences appear weak, proving the full stop marks the end of an autonomous informational entity, furthermore the connections inside the syntactic structures do not create a strict hierarchy. As a consequence all the types of clauses, to which we have to add nominal syntax, display informational autonomy. The cohesive ties between clauses and between whole sentences are loose, thus requiring the reader to take part in the (re)construction of the meaning.
